Music in Grades 3-5

Students experience music 2-3 times per week. Here is a highlight of a few learning targets for each grade level:
Grade 3:
-I can sing expressively.
-I can identify instruments of the orchestra by sight and sound.
-I can create a two-measure rhythm composition.
-I can demonstrate and utilize different dynamic levels.
Grade 4:
-I can sing expressively.
-I can read and write standard music notation in treble clef.
-I can play the recorder with correct finger placement and articulation.
-I can create a two-measure rhythm and melodic composition.
Grade 5:
-I can sing expressively.
-I can read and write standard music notation in treble clef.
-I can create a multiple-measure rhythm and melodic composition.
Grade 3:
-I can sing expressively.
